Over this residential weekend you will learn four Zen meditation practices. These practices have been taught in and out of the monastic setting for hundreds of years for Health and Wellbeing.
The benefits of this Course have been monitored for a number of years at Oxford University. The results have shown a number of health benefits which include a reduction in stress and anxiety and a higher tolerance of pain. One of the aims of this Course is to train your brain to stay where you put it. This quality can be valuable in many areas of your life.
At the end of the Course you will be sent a recording of the four meditations that you practiced over the weekend. On your return home you will practice each meditation for two weeks before moving onto the next. At the end of 8 weeks you can continue to use any of the practices. During your 8 week home practice you may contact Kinburn if you have any course related questions.
The Course will start at 10am until 4pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
We will practice the meditations at the studio at Kinburn and if weather permits on West Sands beach, Kinburn Park and Lade Braes.
The Course includes accommodation in a twin en-suite room on Friday and Saturday night. Breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and supper on Friday night. All food served at Kinburn will be vegetarian.
